The Advanced Diploma in Science cum BS Degree
(Internet Technology) course aims to provide students with the knowledge
of major computer networks such as the Internet. Students are equipped
with knowledge to pursue further specialisation in the areas of
the Internet and e-commerce supported by business skills including
e-marketing. This course provides skills and knowledge in the areas
of mobile computing, e-commerce, networking, internet security and
workflow management. Students will be trained with industry-relevant
knowledge and skills such as VB.NET, J2ME, Macromedia Flash, ActionScript,
ASP.Net (C#), UML (Rational XDE), Oracle, Lotus Notes Domino and
web services. In addition, the Cisco CCNA curriculum is incorporated
into this course. |

With the opportunity for students to go for
six months industrial training, students will be exposed to real-life
industrial problems, which will be both challenging and rewarding
in terms of the invaluable experience that they will gain. Students
are trained to improve their problem solving skills so that they
would be able to blend into the workforce easily. |

in many universities. |

The Advanced
Diploma in Science (Internet Technology) is recognised as suitable
for progression to a Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) or Liverpool
John Moores University (JMU), UK degree with prior credit. Advanced
Diploma graduates of this programme can obtain the BSc (Hons) Information
Technology or BSc (Hons) Information Technology (Computer Systems
& Networks or Software Engineering) Degree from SHU or BSc (Hons)
Computing and Information Systems Degree from JMU by completing
the final semester of the programme at the respective university. |
