Communication Technology (ICT) is
one of the key strategies for
accelerating the economic growth
process. To facilitate increased
efficiency and productivity of all
sectors in the economy, skilled
manpower is needed not only to
design and develop, but also to
maintain and service the necessary
infrastructure to ensure the smooth
running of ICT activities. Therefore,
trained personnel with knowledge
and hands-on experience are
required for service and
maintenance in IT industry. |

graduates with basic maintenance
skills and knowledge for the
electronics, computer and
networking industry. |

Graduates of the Certificate
in
Electronics and Computer
Technology may be promoted to the
Diploma in Science
(Microelectronics and Physics),
(Microelectronics with Computer
Communications) or
(Microelectronics with Automatic
Control) at TAR College.

| Certificate in Electronics
and
Computer Technology graduates
may work in the computer hardware
or electronics service industry as
schematic technicians, printed circuit
board (PCB) draftsman, computer
electronic service technicians, project
technicians, technical support staff or
sales personnel. |

| Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:- |

3 credits in any arts/science subjects |
| (ii) |
Pass in Bahasa Malaysia, English Language and Mathematics |

| Students must have taken Physics and Additional
Mathematics |

A pass in the English Language
course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is
recognised as
satisfying the English Language requirement for admission to the
Certificate course. |
