| The Diploma in Science (Internet Technology)
course aims to equip students with Internetrelated knowledge and
skills. Students are trained in the areas of computer, Internet
and World Wide Web technology. The course also provides a strong
element of Internet design and programming in order for the students
to obtain the essential skills required for effective commercial
use of networks. Students in this course will learn ASP.Net, JavaScript,
XHTML, C, Visual Basic.Net, web-based multimedia applications using
Dreamweaver and Macromedia Flash, database, electronic publishing
and other supporting subjects. |

| The standard of the Diploma in
Science
(Internet Technology) is equivalent to the 1st
year of a relevant Bachelor Degree. Graduates
can further their studies to: |
| a) |
Advanced Diploma in Science cum
BS Degree (Junior & Senior Years) (Internet
Technology) at TAR College. |
| b) |
Relevant Bachelor (Honours) Degree
courses at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman
(UTAR) or other universities on advanced
standing / credit transfer. |

Diploma graduates may find employment as web
page programmers,
multimedia application developers, web application developers, programmers
and Internet application developers. |

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:- |

5 credits which must include Mathematics |
| |

Pass in English Language |

Certificate in Internet Technology from TAR College |
| |

| |
Applicants who only have a
pass in SPM Bahasa Malaysia will be required to obtain a credit
in SPM Bahasa Malaysia or equivalent before the award of Diploma. |

A pass in the English Language
(1119 Level) course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department
(EMSD) is recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement
for admission to the Diploma course. |
