Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) cum Fundamentals (Skills Module) and Professional Level of ACCA This Advanced Diploma programme reinforces additional subject areas and aims to develop students’ analytical and problem solving skills. Students completing the programme should have mastered the range of knowledge, skills and techniques required of a professional accountant. The Year 1 of the Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) programme is conducted under the Internally Assessed ACCA Fundamentals (Skills Module) Programme. Students passing this programme will gain exemptions from Fundamentals (Skills Module) of ACCA examinations. In Year 2 of the Advanced Diploma, students are prepared to sit for Professional Level of the ACCA examinations – Essential Papers in December and Option Papers in the following June. Upon successful completion of this two-year full-time Advanced Diploma programme, students can graduate with the Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) and ACCA.
The Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree.
Career prospects for graduates of the Advanced Diploma cum ACCA are wide and varied. TARC graduates have successfully carved a niche in public practice, commerce and industry, public sector and statutory organisations in various capacities ranging from CEOs, CFOs, to management consultants and academicians.
