Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

This Advanced Diploma course aims to produce professional mechanical engineers with special management expertise in manufacturing engineering. Students are trained to be specialists in engineering design, control systems, industrial systems, engineering applications, industrial management, information technology, structure and processing of materials, computer-aided-design and computer-aidedmanufacturing.
 
   Academic and Professional Progression
   
The Advanced Diploma in Technology (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering) is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree.
a)
Advanced Diploma graduates have been accepted into postgraduate studies in many universities.
b)
The Advanced Diploma in Technology (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering) is recognised as suitable for progression to a Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) or Liverpool John Moores University (JMU), UK degree with prior credit. Advanced Diploma graduates of this programme can obtain the BEng (Hons) Mechanical & Manufacturing Systems Engineering Degree from SHU or BEng (Hons) Automation & Manufacturing Systems Engineering Degree from SHU or BEng (Hons) Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Degree from JMU by completing the final semester of the programme at the respective university.

Diploma in Technology (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering) from TAR College or other equivalent qualifications.

Practical Training in Industry (optional) during Year 1 Semester 2 vacation for approximately 12 weeks.
