This Certificate course aims to produce building technicians with basic skills in site supervision, construction materials, surveying and construction techniques.

Graduates of this course would have acquired sufficient foundation studies to pursue higher qualifications in the built environment.
 
   Academic Progression

Students who have obtained the Certificate can proceed to the corresponding Diploma course at TAR College.

   Career Prospects

Graduates of the Certificate in Technology (Building) may be employed in construction and housing development companies as clerks of work or site supervisors.

   Minimum Entry Requirements
   
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:-
(i)
3 credits in any technical/science/arts subjects
(ii) Pass in Bahasa Malaysia, English Language and Mathematics
   
A pass in the English Language (1119 Level) course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement for admission to the Certificate course.
