Mechanical Engineering

This Certificate course aims to produce mechanical engineering technicians with broad - based education and training in mechanical engineering related skills. These skills include welding, CNC machining, fitting and the use of engineering software such as AutoCAD for drafting and product design.
 
   Academic Progression

Students who have obtained the Certificate can proceed to the corresponding Diploma course at TAR College.

   Career Prospects

With the rapid industrialisation of Malaysia, Certificate in Technology (Mechanical Engineering) graduates have good prospects for employment in a wide range of manufacturing and servicing industries involved with machinery and machine tools,air-conditioning and refrigeration, building services, automotive assembly and transportation. They may be employed as service and maintenance technicians, design and drafting technicians or foreman.

   Minimum Entry Requirements
   
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:-
(i) 3 credits in any technical/science/arts subjects
(ii) Pass in Bahasa Malaysia, English Language and Mathematics
   
Students must have taken Additional Mathematics and Physics.
   
A pass in the English Language (1119 Level) course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement for admission to the Certificate course.
