This Diploma course aims to produce associate engineers with expertise at middle management levels in industry with an everdemanding need to automate the manufacturing sector. | Academic and Professional Progression |
The standard of the Diploma in
Technology (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering) is equivalent
to the 1st year of a relevant Bachelor Degree. Graduates can further
their studies to: |

| a) | Advanced Diploma in Technology (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering) at TAR College. |
| b) | Relevant Bachelor (Honours) Degree courses
at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) or other universities on
advanced standing / credit transfer. |

Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering graduates always enjoy high employability. They are employed in industries involved with manufacturing processes and control, air conditioning, machine design, power production, computer aided-drafting and design, consulting engineering and factory automation. | II | Admission on advanced standing to Semester 4 | |||||

Students with the following qualifications will be accorded credit
transfer/advanced standing to enable them to complete the Diploma
in 1 year.

Malaysia (STPM) / A Levels with 2 Principal passes in the subjects

A principal or subsidiary pass at STPM level is acceptable
in lieu of a credit pass for the corresponding SPM subject.
Applicants who only have a pass in SPM Bahasa Malaysia will be required to obtain a credit in SPM Bahasa Malaysia or equivalent before the award of Diploma. |

A pass in the English Language (1119 Level) course conducted
by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is recognised as
satisfying the English Language requirement for admission to
the Diploma course |
