Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Broadcast Communication)
 
This course will enable students to acquire greater depth of knowledge and skills in their chosen field of specialisation. Emphasis is placed on relevance of the units of study to meet the needs of the broadcast industry in Malaysia and within the global context.
 
 
    Academic and Professional Progression
 
The Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Broadcast Communication) is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree.
a)
Advanced Diploma graduates can pursue their 12-month Master of Arts in Communication, Culture and Media in Coventry University, UK.
b)
The Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Broadcast Communication) is recognised as suitable for progression to a Liverpool John Moores University (JMU), UK degree with prior credit. Advanced Diploma graduates of this programme can obtain the BA (Hons) Mass Communication Degree from JMU by completing the final semester (three months) of the programme at the university.
   
   Career Prospects
 
Advanced Diploma graduates may find employment in TV and radio programme production, disc jockeying and research writing for broadcast media, television, radio. Internet-based businesses, production houses, advertising agencies and company PR departments seek after these graduates.
 
    Minimum Entry Requirements
 
Diploma in Mass Communication (Broadcast Communication) from TAR College or other equivalent qualifications.
