Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management (Foodservice)
 
As the tourism industry grows and the Malaysian economy develops, the demand for professionals in the foodservice industry is increasing. There will be a greater emphasis and commitment to expand and improve tourism-related products, such as foodservice. The establishment of a range of restaurants, fast food chains and catering services increases the need for well-trained foodservice management staff. To address this need, Tunku Abdul Rahman College offers foodservice management course to train students in areas of foodservice management and other related services in order for them to become effective managers of this growing industry. Besides this, the course also provides higher level practical and operational training so that students are well-prepared for professional work upon graduation.
 
    Academic and Professional Progression
 
The Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management (Foodservice) is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree. Graduates can pursue their Bachelor (Honours) Degree at UK and other overseas universities on advanced standing / credit transfer.
 
    Career Prospects
 
For Advanced Diploma graduates, the foodservice industry provides a wide range of career opportunities for graduates not only in hotels and restaurants but also in many tourism - related establishments throughout Malaysia. Graduates may find employment in food court operations, restaurants chains, franchise restaurants, independent restaurants, hotel food and beverage departments.
 
     Minimum Entry Requirements
 
Diploma in Hospitality Management (Foodservice) from TAR College or other equivalent qualifications.
