As Malaysia heads toward becoming a
developed nation, there will be greater
emphasis and commitment to expanding and
improving tourism products, such as
medium-budget accommodations, hotels,
restaurants, resorts, theme parks and leisure
centres. Asian holiday makers, business
travellers, overseas tourists, local weekend
travellers all travel away from home, thus,
creating a demand for hospitality. Such a fast
growing sector needs dynamic graduates
with flair, business and technical knowledge
and excellent interpersonal skills. Therefore
the aim of this course is to provide students
with an in-depth knowledge and
understanding of the development and,
industrial awareness of Malaysia's hospitality
trade so that they can become effective
managers of this growing industry. Besides
this, the course also provides a high level of
management understanding, industrial
awareness and operational competence,
equipping students for a career in hotel
management. |
