Advanced Diploma in Social Science (Psychology)
 
The Advanced Diploma in Social Science (Psychology) aims to provide a wider and deeper range of psychological knowledge that covers various aspects of human behaviours and experiences apart from those covered in the diploma level. This course is to develop application and analysis skills by using psychology to deal with real life situations. This is to enable students to apply those in-depth knowledge and skills to contribute positively in the area of health, education, industry, commerce or welfare that they will be working with in future.
 
    Academic and Professional Progression
 
The Advanced Diploma in Social Science (Psychology) is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree. The Advanced Diploma in Social Science (Psychology) is recognised as suitable for progression to a Liverpool John Moores University (JMU), UK degree with prior credit. Advance Diploma graduates of this programme can obtain the BS (Hons) Human Psychology Degree from JMU by completing the final semester (three months) of the programme at the university.
   
    Career Prospects
 
Advanced Diploma graduates may find employment in hospitals or mental health organisations, business organisations as well as non-governmental organisations (NGO).
 
     Minimum Entry Requirements
Diploma in Social Science (Counselling) from TAR College or other equivalent qualifications.
