The increasing importance of the foodservice industry will mean a need to increase manpower in this area. This calls for well-trained staff not only at the professional but also the sub-professional and para-professional levels which will be able to give efficient and quality foodservice at hotels, resorts and other related foodservice sectors.
 
    Academic Progression
 
Graduates can proceed to the corresponding Diploma at TAR College.
 
    Career Prospects
 
Graduates in hospitality may find employment not only in restaurants, hotels and resorts but also in other sectors of the service industry like hospitals and hotels throughout the country.
 
    Minimum Entry Requirements
   
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:-
(i) 3 credit passes in any arts / science subjects
(ii) Pass in Bahasa Melayu and English Language
 
A pass in the General English course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement for admission to the Certificate course.
