This course prepares students
to develop the artistic flair and provides the opportunity to practice
their cooking skills in our well-equipped kitchen. The course is
designed to equip students with the personal and professional skills
crucial to succeed in the hospitality and tourism industry. Further
to this, the course emphasises on teamwork which is essential in
order to work in a successful kitchen environment. |

| The standard of the Diploma in Hospitality
Management (Foodservice) is equivalent to
the 1st or even 2nd year of a relevant
Bachelor Degree. Graduates can further their
studies to: |

Advanced Diploma in Hospitality
Management (Foodservice) at TAR
College. |
| b) |
Relevant Bachelor Degree courses on
advanced standing / credit transfer. |

| |
| Diploma graduates in Hospitality Management (Foodservice) may find
employment in hotels, restaurants, hospitals, resort areas and other catering
outlets throughout the country.

| Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:- |
| |
(i) 5 credit passes in any arts/science subjects |
| |
(ii) Pass in Bahasa Melayu^ and English

| Certificate in Hospitality Management (Foodservice)
from TAR College. |
| |
| ^ Students who do not have a credit pass
in SPM Bahasa Melayu must complete and pass AEMS1022 Bahasa Melayu |

A pass in the General English
course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is
recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement for admission
to the Diploma course. |
