The Diploma in Multimedia Design
course is for those who are interested in screen-based design and
interactive media and who would like to be a part of the growing
industries in the world today. This course aims to guide students
through all aspects of interactivity, content, style and on-screen
usability, using creative practical techniques. Emphasis will be
placed on design and visual studies aided by computers. Students
will also gain appreciation of the creative aspects of multimedia
through a range of visual and typographical design, 2D animation
and illustration techniques. |

standard of the Diploma in Multimedia Design is equivalent to the
1st or even 2nd year of a relevant Bachelor Degree. |

Relevant Bachelor Degree courses
on advanced standing / credit transfer. |

| Diploma graduates may find employment in the areas of Multimedia Design,
Interface Design, Web Design, New Media Arts, Art Direction, Film & Video Post
Production, 3D Modelling and 2D and 3D Animation, Creative Art Studio
Practice, Graphic Design and the Screen Arts industries. |

| Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:- |

5 credit passes in any arts / science subjects |
| (ii) |
Pass in Bahasa Melayu^ and English Language |
| |
| ^ Students who do not have a credit pass
in SPM Bahasa Melayu must complete and pass AEMS1022 Bahasa Melayu |

A pass in the
General English course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department
(EMSD) is recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement
for admission to the Diploma course. |
