Pahang Branch Campus > About
The Pahang Branch Campus began operations with its first intake of students on 4 January 1999. It is the only Branch Campus located in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The Branch Campus is located in temporary premises in Karak, Pahang. It is set up specifically to augment the educational programme of the Main Campus. The Pahang Branch Campus is strategically located in Karak, an hour's drive away from Kuala Lumpur using the Karak Highway. It is also a 2-hour drive away from Kuantan using the East Coast Highway. Commercial buses run almost every hour from Bentong, Temerloh and Kuala Lumpur.

The Branch Campus boasts a scenic view of the mountains and is surrounded by greenery. The serene atmosphere provides a conducive environment for study. One can take a 20-minute drive to the Camang Waterfall or a 30-minute leisure drive to Hutan Lipur Lentang. Other places of interest in the vicinity include the Bentong Hot Springs, Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary and Deer Park. The Branch Campus is also set amidst two of Malaysia's popular hills resorts, Genting Highlands and the Berjaya-Bukit Tinggi Colmar Tropicale Resort.

Karak is well known for its famous durians and the durian tarts, more fondly referred to as 'durian bombs' by the locals! It is also famed for its 'ikan patin' and succulent rose apples.
