Clubs and societies
One of the benefits of the College life is the opportunity to make new friends, develop new interests and enjoy a varied social life. All the social and leisure activities of the College are organized and supported by the students themselves, particularly through College’s Department of Student Affairs.
 
Our students are mainly from Kota Kinabalu, followed by students from Sandakan, Tawau, Sarawak, Lahad Dato, Tenom, Perak, Keningau, Beaufort, Papar and even Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan, if students feel like venturing further into a field they will find a number of interesting places to visit. Students can have a 2 ½ hours ride from the town to the 754sq km Kinabalu Park and Mount Kinabalu, the pride of Sabah. This 4095m peak is easily accessible and is a favorite for jungle-trekking and mountain-climbing and offers a breathtaking view of the lush surroundings. There might be a chance to catch a glimpse of the exotic Rafflesia, the world’s largest flower. Students also can have a short boat-ride away takes one to the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, Manukan, Gayana and others, an ideal islands for camping and sea sports.

Student Welfare Committee
Every student is automatically a member of the SWC. From clubs and societies, student can be a volunteer in the local community. Student Welfare Committee, especially, provides support, training and information to help others to get the most out of any activity that are beneficial.
 
The objectives of the Committee are to promote the activities and interests of all students and to encourage them to play an active part in its affairs. The committee represents the interests of all students at Sabah Branch Campus.
 
Team Building Camp
All members of Student Welfare Committee and staff attended an annual 2 days one night team building and motivation camp on November 2007 at Lahad Dato Ostrich Farm. The event reached its aims to facilitate communication between students and help students community develop closer relationships with each other through programs including talks and team-building activities, jungle trekking, visited ostrich farm and museum.
 
 
 
Student Sports Committee
Climbing Mount Kinabalu is an annual activity of Student Sports Committee. The objectives of the Committee are to promote healthy living and fellowship among the fellow Tarcians.
 
 
English Language Society
The aims are to encourage the use of English Language through activities conducted and to change the perspectives of some students who perceive English Language negatively.
 
 
Christian Fellowship
Fellowship provides an opportunity to share talents, experiences, learning, spend time with others and encourage each other to grow spiritually.
 
 
Music Club
Music Club is fun and stimulating, amusing activities like learning new dance and playing music provides a healthy, natural and invaluable opportunity for individual expression and capture student's interest and enhancing cognitive, social, physical, and emotional skills.
 
 
Workshop/talks
As well as normal tutorials and lectures, workshop/talks are provided which allow opportunities for students to know about particulars fields or to find out more about an area in which they have interest in like safety, self development, management techniques, personal improvement, job placement and leadership skills. All these workshops and talks are examples of the College commitment to help students to achieve their true potential.

We hold series of events and talks to assist students with future career plans like learning social skills, career prospect for future, education visits to factories in order to equip students with practical knowledge that can be applied in their working life later on.
 
Talk on "Learning Social Skills"
Students and lecturers attended talk on “Learning Social Skills” by invited speaker. The aimed of the talk was to promote English and share the effective communication skills. At the end of the workshop, all participants gained effective communication skills, right attitudes in life and appreciate the differences in others by knowing behavioral styles i.e. choleric, sanguine, phlegmatic and melancholy.
 
Talk by Professional on Accountancy as a career
The annual talk on "Accountancy as a Career" by Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) tell students on how to be a qualified Accountant, he/she must have recognized degree or professional qualifications such as ACCA and CIMA . Besides, at least 3 years working experiences in the accounting firm and must be a member of MIA. Graduates majoring in accounting will be able to take up employment in Public sector, Commerce, Industry, Multinational Corporation and Education sectors.
