With globalisation, TAR College recognises the importance of the international dimension in students’ learning and exposure. Hence, it has engaged in innovative collaborations with foreign universities and institutions to offer its students affordable pathways to an overseas learning experience and also postgraduate studies.

The many collaborative initiatives include credit transfer to universities, joint initiatives on fundamental concerns of teaching, training and research, undergraduate exchange programmes with overseas universities and scholarships. The College is continuously embarking on strategic partnerships and establishing links with educational institutions in the East and West.

Campbell University, USA

Through the long standing collaborative partnership forged with Campbell University since 1978, our Advanced Diploma students from the School of Arts and Science are simultaneously prepared for Bachelor of Science degree, Campbell University North Carolina, USA.

Hence, the students will be able to obtain dual qualifications of TAR College Advanced Diploma and BS Degree Campbell University without leaving the shores of Malaysia. The programme enabled more than 12,700 TAR College Chemistry, Biology, Sport Science, Microelectronics and IT graduates to obtain an American degree.

Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), UK
With the validation of the College Advanced Diploma programmes by SHU, UK, the College Advanced Diploma graduates were accepted by SHU to complete a one-semester conversion programme for the award of the relevant bachelor honours degree by SHU. More than 7,000 TAR College students have graduated from this one-semester conversion programme.

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), UK

TAR College Advanced Diploma programmes are recognised by LJMU and its graduates are accepted by LJMU to complete a conversion programme in UK leading to the award of the relevant bachelor honours degree by LJMU. To-date, more than 4,000 TAR College students have graduated from LJMU through the above collaborative arrangement.

Birmingham City University (BCU), UK

The College has signed Progression Agreements with BCU as follows:

  • MSc Accountancy and Finance (ACCA pathway)
    • Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) graduates can be admitted to MSc Accountancy and Finance programme in just 1 year on a part-time basis or 6 months on a full-time basis.
  • MSc Accountancy and Finance (CIMA pathway)
    • Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Management Accounting) graduates who have successfully completed all designated modules in the Executive Development Programme (EDP) at TAR College can progress into the Postgraduate Diploma Stage of the MSc Accountancy and Finance at BCU, UK.

The College has signed MOU/MOA/Letter of Intent with the following institutions of higher learning to forge academic partnership to provide progression pathway for TARC students to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Generally, TARC diploma holders are given advanced standing to the undergraduate degree programmes. Advanced Diploma graduates may be admitted to Masters degree programme.
