TAR University College Students Embrace the Spirit of Altruism

Apart from exceling in studies, TAR University College students are also imbued with the spirit of altruism by involving them in many charitable initiatives. Recently, about 2,800 Diploma students from all faculties conducted a fund-raising project throughout the month of October till December 2015 aimed at raising the required funds for charitable organisations to serve the needy and underprivileged as well as helping the underserved community.

A Celebration of Excellence in Education at TAR University College Convocation Ceremony

What made the morning of 19 December 2015 extraordinary and significant was the palpable sense of joy, happiness and pride of TAR University College students, all dressed up in their convocation robes and surrounded by their families and friends who were present to celebrate their graduation. Held at the University College Hall, a total of 395 students graduated with a Diploma while 173 students were the last batch of students to graduate with their Advanced Diplomas.

Spreading the Message of Unity through Arts Festival

Padan.Muka Arts Festival 2015, the very first of its kind held at TAR University College was not only intriguing, colourful and entertaining but the concept behind this festival was indeed meaningful. Held from 21 - 22 December 2015 and with the theme, 'Arts The Masterpiece of Unity', the festival aimed to increase awareness on how arts can be used as an effective tool to unite Malaysians.

TAR University College Students Win Best Digital Documentary Film

Creativity and ingenuity is the hallmark of TAR University College students, especially for five Bachelor of Communication (Hons) in Broadcasting students, for winning the Best Digital Documentary Film at the Malaysian Digital Film 2015 Competition. The award ceremony was held at FINAS on 24 November 2015.

TAR University College Develops Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs

A team of three TAR University College students and two other students from another university emerged as the Top Team in the inaugural Youth Trailblazer Challenge organised by Pertubuhan Perintis Malaysia. The challenge aimed to train youths to become socially responsible entrepreneurs while bridging the gap between urban and rural youth. It was held from 20-22 November 2015 at a public university in Selangor. The students beat 52 other teams which had a combination of students from institutions of higher learning and practising entrepreneurs.

TAR University College Students Dance Their Way to Victory

TAR University College students excel not only in academic pursuit but in other areas as well, including dancing. Such is the case for Ng Wen Hui, a Bachelor of Finance and Investment (Hons) student and Wong Yee Jing, a Bachelor of Corporate Administration (Hons) student who won the 2nd place in the Open University C Latin category and 6th place in the Open Adult C Latin category in the World DanceSport Federation (‘WDSF’) Taipei Open 2015. The competition was held on 31 October & 1 November 2015 in Taipei, where more than 100 pairs of dancers participated.
