Another Milestone in Social Outreach for TAR University College Students

In a simple, yet meaningful ceremony held at the Auditorium of TAR University College on 13 January 2015, 16 charity organisations were presented with cheques from the funds raised by TAR University College Diploma students taking the course Civic Consciousness and Volunteerism. TAR University College’s Lecturer Demonstrates Professional Excellence

Ms Chok Len Mooi, Associate Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Computing (‘FASC’), CCAI, CCNA, ITQ for CCNA R&S, recently obtained the Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security (IIOS) professional certification, which gives her the honour of being one of the 2 instructors in Malaysia who can train other CCNA instructors in the area of Cisco IOS Network Security.

TAR University College Students Win Top Three Prizes in PRS Short Video Contest

Three broadcasting students from the second year of Diploma in Mass Communication (Broadcast Communication) won top spots in the Private Retirement Scheme ('PRS') Short Video Contest organised by the Private Pension Administrator Malaysia ('PPA'), central administrator for the PRS. The contest age requirement is between 20 to 30 years old. This contest is to create awareness of retirement and financial planning for one’s old age when one is young. It is also to encourage young adults to start saving while they are still young and the PRS Youth Incentive is a good place to begin. The winners' videos were judged based on quality of storytelling, message, and overall appeal.

TAR University College Students Shine in SAP Lumira Challenge 2014

The 'Dream Team' from TAR University College had emerged as the 2nd Runners-Up in the SAP Lumira Challenge 2014 Malaysia held on 16 December 2014. The competition, which was organised by SAP, had attracted many teams from various universities all over Malaysia. The TAR University College students from the Bachelor of Information Systems (Honours) in Enterprise Information Systems programme had submitted four entries and out of these, two entries had been selected for the finals.
