Mode of Application
Application forms are obtainable from TAR University College Kuala Lumpur Main Campus or download from here.

Submission of Application
All documents must be certified true copy by a solicitor, Justice of Peace, Commissioner for Oath or Notary Public. A certified copy should carry stamp or seal, and the certifier's signature.

Documents in foreign language must be translated into English. The original translation must contain confirmation from the translator or translation company that it is an accurate translation of the original document; the date of the translation; the full name and signature of the translator or of an authorised official of the translation company; and the translator or translation company's contact details.

Completed application (paper application only) are to be submitted with the following documents:-

  • Application fee of MYR 600/USD 200 (NON-REFUNDABLE) in the form of Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque made payable to ‘Kolej Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman’ or through Telegraphic Transfer. Please write your name, passport number and country on the reverse side of the Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque for identification purposes. For Telegraphic Transfer details, please click here.
  • A copy of remittance slip for the Telegraphic Transfer (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of certificate of award AND academic transcripts
  • Certified true copy of English Language proficiency test result (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS)
  • Certified artwork portfolio (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of school leaving certificate
  • 5 recent passport-sized colour photographs with only BLUE background (3.5cm × 5.0cm)
  • 2 copies of ALL pages of passport with certified pages (cover to cover including blank pages) with at least 2 years validity (2 ½ years validity for Indonesian applicants).
  • Statutory declaration confirming identity (for applicants with name spelt differently in official academic transcripts and documents)
  • A copy of sponsorship letter (if sponsored)
  • A full curriculum vitae (if applicants are above 21 years old) and a letter from the previous employer (if applicable)
  • Photocopy of MyPR Card (for Permanent Resident (PR) only)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for students from Sub-Saharan Africa (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of yellow fever vaccination certificate (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of release letter, latest transcript, attendance report and visa/pass cancellation page from passport (for applicants who are studying or have discontinued their studies in other institutions in Malaysia)

Note:

  1. Incomplete application or application received after the closing date will automatically be considered for the next available intake. For incomplete application, if TAR University College does not receive the required documents by the closing date of the next intake, the application will be rejected based on insufficient information.
  2. To be considered for admission to a programme of study, applicants must meet the entry requirements. Meeting the entry requirements, however, does not necessarily guarantee admission to the programme.
  3. All documents submitted to the University College will be treated with confidentiality. The document will become part of the official files of the University College and cannot be released or returned to the student or another institution.

Application Outcome
Applicants will be notified on the result of their application by courier and email.

Acceptance of Offer
To accept the offer of admission, applicants are to register by paying the fees*(1st payment) as stated in the offer letter before or on the payment due date. Payment can be made in the form of Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque made payable to ‘Kolej Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman’ or through Telegraphic Transfer. Please write your name, passport number and country on the reverse side of the Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque for identification purposes. For Telegraphic Transfer details, please click here.

  • International Student Administrative Fee (ISAF): MYR 1,500 (non-refundable).
  • Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) & Immigration Fees: MYR 2,500 – MYR 4,500 (vary according to country)

2nd Payment - First Year Fees
Applicants will be required to make payment of the first year fees which will be stated in the Welcome Letter upon approval of visa and student pass. Please refer to Second Payment Upon Approval of Visa and Student Pass for details.
The original Visa Approval Letter (VAL) will be courier to the student once the payment is confirmed.

Pre-Arrival Arrangements
Applicants are to apply for single entry visa (if required) and to confirm the mode of arrival, date and time of arrival to facilitate airport pick up, and also the accommodation details with the International Student Office (ISO).

Arrival & Registration
Students are to report and register at ISO at the date and time as stated in the offer letter. Students are to produce their original certificate of award, academic transcript, English language proficiency test result, school leaving certificate, etc. upon registration at ISO.
