TAR UC's track record in providing professionally driven programmes is further bolstered when Chin Jo Han, a graduate of TAR UC, recently bagged the Yayasan Sime Darby Prize for the best paper in Corporate Governance in the ICSA International Qualifying Scheme ('IQS') Professional Part 2 June 2016 Examination.
Jo Han who studied the Bachelor of Corporate Administration (Hons) in TAR UC is currently attached to Ernst & Young as an Associate in Transaction Tax. He was surprised but very delighted of his achievement. "Knowing the fact that I only had a month to do proper revision for the examination, I certainly did not expect to score the best paper in Corporate Governance. Having said this, I must point out that my success was largely due to my dedicated lecturers who encouraged and inspired me to do my best in the examination. Their dedication in educating me and ensuring that they cleared all the doubts I had was a great push for me to give my best in the examination," said the young achiever.
As his ambition is to be an entrepreneur, Jo Han shared that pursuing his studies in TAR UC had instilled in him the necessary skillsets in preparing him to join the workforce. "TAR UC's education is very systematic and compact. Besides this, the high academic standards in TAR UC constantly drive me to do the best in my studies and I continue the same mindset now in my work. As what the saying 'No Pain No Gain' goes, the experience I have acquired as a student of TAR UC has not only strengthened my intellectual capabilities but I have also developed a disciplined way of managing work which would be a great help to me in achieving my goals. For these, I am truly grateful to TAR UC," he elaborated.
He also has some sound advice for his juniors who are planning to take the same academic route as himself. He shared: “TAR UC has taught me that perseverance, passion and persistence are the main ingredients to achieve success.
