TAR UC's professionally driven education continues to show its strength when Cheong Chun Fai, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) student, emerged as the Third Top Malaysian ACCA Affiliate in the recent ACCA September 2016 examination. His success in securing straight passes in all the ACCA professional level papers enabled him to claim the third top affiliate ranking.

Chun Fai who is currently working in PwC as a Tax Associate was taken by surprise upon knowing about his achievement. "I honestly did not expect to achieve this recognition as I always thought that the ACCA papers were very tough and it would be difficult to pass all papers in one attempt. I believe it was less taxing for me as I only needed to focus on the 5 professional levels papers as my Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) granted me exemptions from 9 papers of the ACCA fundamentals," he explained. Chun Fai also attributed his success to the strong foundation he acquired from his Diploma course in TAR UC. He said: "The basics that I learned during my Diploma have definitely been helpful to me when trying to understand more advanced aspects in the ACCA papers. As I attempted various assignments and examinations in TAR UC, I was better prepared to attempt the actual ACCA examinations."

The ambitious young achiever, who is focused on obtaining his ACCA membership after working for 3 years, shared his reason for choosing to study in TAR UC. "What attracted me to TAR UC is the fact that this institution is ACCA's Platinum Approved Learning Partner and has been consistent in maintaining its status. Besides this, being able to complete my Bachelor's degree and ACCA simultaneously was another factor that persuaded me to advance my education in TAR UC," he commented. "My decision to study in TAR UC was the right choice for me. My lecturers were of great help to me in preparation for the ACCA examinations. In addition to this, the University College's facilities especially the library is conducive to do revisions as it is filled with all the necessary reading materials which were of great help for my revision," he added further.

Chun Fai who aspires to be an accounting lecturer after he completes his Masters shared his formula to achieve success. "Consistency in attempting past year question papers is the key to my success. Through this exercise, I was able to train myself to produce accurate answers within the time given in the real examinations. I also believe that in order to become a successful accountant or finance professional, the key is to always put into practice what has been learnt," he shared.
