A team of counsellors is
available to offer help with a wide range of emotional,
personal or academic problems through individual counselling,
group sessions, workshops, talks and seminars. The counsellors
provide a professional and strictly confidential service.
All Individual and group counselling services are free of
charge. Counselling services are available to students during
office hours at the Student Affairs Department. |

The
College provides individual counselling services for students
who need someone to talk to. Counselling can help individual
students to cope better be it regarding academic issues,
conflicts, stress or anxiety, homesickness, depression or
grief which may hinder his/her studies or relationships.
It helps students understand their problems better, which
will lead to personal growth and social development. |

Group Sessions |

Sometimes
group sessions may be more effective in helping students
to deal with their issues. It enables students to experience
support and learn new ways of communication. |

The counselors conduct
group sessions on various topics depending on the needs of

| II. STUDENT JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES |

The Student Job Placement Services (SJPS) offers many resources to help students and graduates in their search for a part-time job, Internship, or full-time employment. SJPS provides experienced staff and counsellors to assist students to make informed decisions about career choices and maximize their employability opportunities. SJPS's services include: |

| a) CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS & TALKS |
| |
SJPS works closely with the Career Guidance Society (CGS) to organize Workshops & Talks throughout the semester to help students understand the career decision making and job search processes. Career development workshops are conducted by career specialists and counsellors who would guide students in the identification of skills, interests, values and how to make appropriate career decisions with confidence. |

| SJPS maintains a webpage that has become a principal point of contact for employers who wish to recruit TARC students, interns or graduates. For employers, the website provides the ease of reaching directly to graduating students for recruitment and internship purposes. For students, they would be able to access the list of potential employers, view the job vacancies listing and contact employers directly, anytime, anywhere. |

Branch Campus |
The Penang Branch Campus provides Counselling and Placement
Services. Students may seek counsel or guidance from the
counsellor during office hours at the Student Affairs Department.
