The School of Arts
and Science(SAS) was established in 1972. Being
one of the pioneer who offer external Degree,
the School has a track record of producing
successful graduates in both academic and
industry in the areas of chemistry and Biology,
Computer Science and Mathematics, Information
System, Information Technology as well as
Microelectronics
combinations. |
| |
The School
currently offers a wide range of programmes in
the said areas at Certificate, Diploma and
Advanced Diploma cum Bachelor Degree level (see
general progression route). The programme
structures and syllabi of the Diploma and
Advanced Diploma are so designed and arranged
that students will be simultaneously prepared
for the Advanced Diploma in conjunction
with the BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (BS) DEGREE of
CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY, Buies Creek, North
Carolina, USA. Campbell University is accredited
by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award
Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, Education
Specialist, and Doctorate degrees. This
accreditation extends to all of the University's
program sites, including its Bachelor of Science
degree at Tunku Abdul Rahman College in Kuala

|
The Chemistry and
Biology Division of the School of Arts and
Science is offering two main programmes with the
objective to produce graduates equipped with a
broad-based knowledge and skills in the areas of
chemistry and bioscience as well as sport and
exercise science. Emphasis will be placed on
polymer chemistry, environmental chemistry and
technology, industrial organic chemistry,
instrumentation, biotechnology, physiology,
biochemistry, bioinformatics, immunology,
advanced microbiology, exercise physiology,
kinesiology, sport biomechanics and sports
methodologies. |
| |
|
The Computer
Science Division of the School of Arts and
Science is offering four main programmes with
the objective to produce graduates equipped with
knowledge and skills in programming, software
engineering, networking, business information
systems, operating systems, web design and
development, web services, Internet security,
mobile computing, software project management
and interactive software development which
include game design, programming and
development. |
| |
|
The Mathematics
and Statistics Divison provides service to all
the Diploma Schools as students of most Diploma
programmes study Mathematics and Statistics as a
support subject. Students who study Mathematics
and Statistics as major subjects up to the
Degree level are from the following programmes:
Computer Science and Statistics, Computer
Science and Management Mathematics, Computer
Science and Computer
Mathematics. |
| |
| |
|
The
Microelectronics and Physics Division of the
School of Arts and Science offers three main
programmes which aim to produce graduates
equipped with a broad-based knowledge and skills
in electronic/microelectronic systems with
emphasis on IC design, semiconductor devices,
embedded systems design, computer networking and
control systems. |

SAS programmes are either of a
multi-interdisciplinary major, single major or a
major with minor that provide strong fundamental
knowledge in their major and good domain
knowledge. |
