On 29 May 2024, senior management from YMU visited TAR UMT to further explore potential collaboration opportunities. 

During the visit, TAR UMT and YMU signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Both institutions agreed to develop, promote, and cooperate in various activities, such as sharing academic knowledge and best practices, engaging staff and students, and fostering partnerships and long-term relationships.

The Chairman of Board of Governors and President of TAR UMT as well as officials from Maychn Strategy (Yunnan) Co., Ltd. visited YMU on 12 April 2023. During the visitation, both Universities had gained an insight into future trends in education, research and innovation in China and how the universities collaborate with the industry and contribute to the wider community.
