The Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSH) Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology hosted the TAR UMT 1st international student conference on social science and humanities 2022 - embracing change and transformation on 19 May 2022. The conference was open for Social Science and Humanities undergraduate and post-graduate students from TAR UMT, TAR UMT ASEAN partner universities as well as other Malaysian IHLs. The conference covers a wide range of topics in the social sciences and humanities, including but not limited to culture, language, literature, politics, history, religion, economics, psychology, counseling, hospitality, tourism, education, management, and other related fields. Presenters and participants were from TAR UMT, University of Ibadan and Universitas Esa Unggul.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TAR UMT and UI has been signed on 28 December 2021.

 This MoU was signed to provide a framework in the collaboration activities and promote cooperation in a wide variety of programs and projects, taking into consideration the principle of mutual interests, equal rights, and respect for each other's independence.

A workshop has been conducted on 31 July 2021 by Dr Goh Kam Meng from TAR UMT on how to write a simple basic deep learning algorithm using python.

This workshop is an intensive one-day workshop was proposed and conducted by Dr Goh for local and international participants to learn and program basic deep learning theory.
