On 17 June 2025, senior officials from JMU visited TAR UMT to further strengthen institutional ties and explore deeper collaboration.

During the visit, both universities signed the Cooperation Agreement for 2+2 Joint Talent Cultivation Programme, reaffirming their shared commitment to fostering academic excellence through joint programme development, student mobility, staff exchanges, and cross-border educational cooperation that supports the nurturing of globally competent graduates.

Senior officials from TAR UMT visited JMU on 15 October 2024 to further explore potential collaboration opportunities.

During the visitation, TAR UMT and JMU signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Education. Both institutions were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.
