2025 |
25 August 2025 The Memorandum of Agreement between TAR UMT and MSU was signed on 25 August 2025. This agreement formalises the collaboration between the two institutions and sets out the terms and conditions under which MSU will participate as a co-host of the International Research and Scholarly Conference (IRSC) 2025. Through this partnership, both parties aim to strengthen academic linkages and promote knowledge exchange among scholars and researchers.
From 21 April 2025 to 26 April 2025 Under the staff exchange programme, staff members from TAR UMT were invited to Mindanao State University, Marawi City, from 21 to 26 April 2025, to conduct lessons, deliver talks, and attend relevant meetings on behalf of TAR UMT
From 25 February 2025 to 26 February 2025 TAR UMT, in collaboration with Universitas Ma Chung, Mindanao State University, and Universitas Tanjungpura, co-hosted a virtual symposium titled From Talent to Hired: A Symposium on Impressing Employers on MYFutureJobs on 25 February and 26 February 2025 via Google Meet. The event provided valuable insights into career readiness, professional certifications, and industry expectations. The symposium was organized in response to concerns among educators, employers, and career advisors about the challenges faced by fresh graduates, job seekers, and employees looking to upskill. Many struggled with crafting compelling resumes, performing well in interviews, and understanding the importance of professional accreditation in their fields. By bringing together government agencies, industry leaders, and company experts, the symposium offered participants firsthand knowledge and practical strategies to enhance their career prospects and professional skills.

2024 |
From 17 August 2024 to 2 September 2024 As part of the staff exchange program, a guest lecturer from MSU was invited to engage with TAR UMT students at TAR UMT between 17 August 2024 and 2 September 2024.
20 May 2024 On 20 May 2024, senior management from TAR UMT visited MSU, deepening ties and fostering collaboration between the universities. During the visit, an Memorandum of Understanding and a staff exchange agreement were signed, further solidifying the partnership. The Memorandum of Understanding, originally signed on 29 April 2019, was reaffirmed, underscoring the commitment to promoting international understanding and scholarly exchange, enhancing the academic landscape for both institutions.

22 September 2023 MSU visited TAR UMT on 22 September 2023 to promote international understanding, scholarly collaboration, cultural interaction and friendship between the two universities.
16 March 2023 TAR UMT co-organized an online culture talk entitled "Seeing Culture Through Your Lens: Malaysia and the Philippines" with MSU on 16 March 2023. The objective of the talk is to expose students from TAR UMT and MSU to the cultural similarities and differences between Malaysia and the Philippines. Thus, the aforesaid students will learn the value of cultural differences, increase cultural sensitivity, and learn how to appreciate other cultures.

9 November 2022 MSU visited TAR UMT on 9 November 2022 to discuss on student exchange, staff exchange, collaboration on research/ scholarly activities, academic programme collaboration and etc.

From 24 November 2019 to 2 December 2019 A inbound study tour was held between 24 November 2019 and 2 December 2019.
10 July 2019 The Memorandum of Agreement between TAR UMT and MSU was signed on 10 July 2019. The agreement was signed for the study tour program for MSU students for a duration of 9 days (from 24 November to 2 December 2019).
29 April 2019 The Memorandum of Understanding between MSU and TAR UMT on 29 April 2019. The purpose of this MOU is to provide a framework in the collaboration activities and promote cooperation in a wide variety programs and projects, taking into consideration the principle of mutual interests, equal rights, and respect of each other's independence.
