2026 |
From 19 January to 18 April 2026 Students from TAR UMT studied abroad for one semester at CU under the TAR UMT–CU Dual Award Programme from 19 January to 18 April 2026, where they pursued academic courses, engaged in cross-cultural learning, and gained international exposure to enhance their knowledge and skills.

2025 |
From 14 June to 11 July 2025 TAR UMT conducted a 28-day Summer Programme from 14 June to 11 July 2025 for international students from Coventry University, De Montfort University, and Teesside University. The programme provided students with the opportunity to experience Malaysian culture through cultural activities, hands-on workshops, student interaction sessions, and team-building activities. Participants also visited TAR UMT’s branch campuses in Perak and Penang, which further enriched their learning and cultural exposure.
From 20 January to 19 April 2025 A group of TAR UMT students participated in the Dual Award programme at Coventry University, United Kingdom, from 20 January to 19 April 2025. During the 90-day programme, students engaged in academic learning, cross-cultural experiences, and skill development, broadening their global perspectives and enhancing their career readiness.

2024 |
16 December 2024 Staff from CU visited the Sabah Branch of TAR UMT on 16 December 2024 to provide a briefing for TAR UMT students on furthering their studies at Coventry University, UK. The session covered opportunities for students, including information on scholarships, credit transfer pathways, and more.
From 15 June 2024 to 12 July 2024 CPE organized a 28-day summer programme from 15 June 2024 to 12 July 2024, designed for international students from Coventry University, De Montfort University, and Teesside University in the UK, as well as Macao University of Science and Technology and China High School in China who were interested in applying for the Turing Scheme. Participants engaged in cultural activities, workshops, student interactions, team-building exercises, and a visit to TAR UMT's Kampar campus. This collaborative initiative aimed to provide enriching experiences, fostered academic and personal growth, and facilitated meaningful exchanges among students from these diverse educational institutions.

2023 |
17 June 2023 The Summer School Framework Agreement between CU and TAR UMT was signed on 17 June 2023. Under the terms of this agreement, both universities committed to jointly develop and deliver a wide range of courses and activities, fostering academic growth and cultural exchange among students from diverse backgrounds.
From 6 February 2023 to 19 June 2023 A group of students from Sainte-Marie Lyon (SML), France visited TAR UMT to join the one-semester study abroad programme between 6 February 2023 to 19 June 2023. This study abroad programme collaborates with CU, the Dual Award partner institution of TAR UMT and SML for students from SML.The students also have an opportunity to join the sight seeing tour in Kuala Lumpur, cultural workshop, and other excursions. |

2022 |
From 7 August 2022 to 28 August 2022 A group of CU students joined a 3 weeks customised study tour to TAR UMT to know and experience the lifestyle and culture of Malaysia. Students from CU had attended various workshops, visited famous attractions, companies as well as TAR UMT branch campus from 7 August 2022 to 28 August 2022.
22 August 2022 Addendum to Programme Approval Agreement between TAR UMT, CU and Sainte-Marie Lyon (SML) was signed on 22 August 2022. The purpose of this Agreement was to allow the students at SML enrolled onto the Programme to opt to undertake one compulsory semester of study of that Programme at either CU's campus in CU in the UK or TAR UMT's campus in Malaysia and to note that the students will also undertake an overseas internship.

28 April 2021 The Programme Approval Agreement between CU and TAR UMT was signed on 28 April 2021. CU and TAR UMT wish to define the specific collaborative arrangements governing the approval by CU of programmes of study delivered at TAR UMT campuses and operated by TAR UMT and which lead to specified awards of CU.

18 November 2020 A Webinar, “Harvard Referencing” has been conducted on 18 November 2020 for all the FAFB students, and all the CU’s staff and students.

From 23 October 2019 to 26 October 2019 CU was invited to co-organised TAR UMT International Student Conference 2019 held between 23 October 2019 and 26 October 2019.
Between 12 June 2019 and 17 June 2019 Two sessions of CU Info day on Studying Abroad in UK was held at TAR UMT: 12 June 2019 at Penang Branch Campus; and 17 June 2019 at KL Main Campus.
From 27 April 2019 to 6 May 2019 TAR UMT visited to CU between 27 April 2019 and 6 May 2019 to discuss on student exchange, staff exchange, collaboration on research/scholarly activities, academic programme collaboration and etc.
