On 14 December 2023, JJVU visited TAR UMT in Malaysia to explore possibilities of collaboration. During the visit, both institutions agreed to establish the Technologists Training Centre of JJVU within TAR UMT's campus. This partnership opens doors for enhanced vocational education and technological training opportunities for students and faculty alike.

The Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Education between TAR UMT and JJVU was signed on 3 November 2023.  TAR UMT and JJVU were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.
