2025 |
13 November 2025 Senior officials from GZU visited TAR UMT on 13 November 2025. The delegation toured several laboratories on campus to learn more about TAR UMT’s facilities and academic strengths. They also engaged in discussions on potential areas of collaboration between TAR UMT and GZU. The visit provided a meaningful platform for both institutions to explore future partnership opportunities.
29 July 2025 TAR UMT conducted a Malaysia Delicacy Workshop for students from GZU on 29 July 2025 during their visit. The workshop provided participants with a hands-on culinary experience, introduced traditional Malaysian delicacies, and promoted cultural appreciation through interactive learning.

2024 |
2 September 2024 The virtual signing of the Joint Research Project Assignment Agreement between GZU and TAR UMT took place on 2 September 2024. This collaborative initiative is titled “Development of a Peg-in-Hole Mating Control Algorithm for Vision-Based Robotic Arms”.
3 April 2024 On 3 April 2024, TAR UMT and GZU reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in their partnership. This agreement builds upon their shared goals of promoting academic excellence, facilitating cross-cultural exchange, and fostering innovation. Through this renewed commitment, both institutions are poised to deepen their cooperation in areas such as scientific research, student and staff exchange programs, and joint-training initiatives. By leveraging their collective expertise and resources, TAR UMT and GZU aim to continue making impactful contributions to education, research, and societal development. |

2023 |
18 September 2023 The Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Education and Student Exchange Agreement between TAR UMT and GZU was signed on 18 September 2023. TAR UMT and GZU were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.
30 May 2023 The Chairman of Board of Governors, member of the Board and Senior Officials of TAR UMT visited GZU on 30 May 2023 to explore potential collaboration in scientific research, joint-training/ joint activities for students, staff exchange and student exchange . During the visitation, both Universities had also gained an insight into future trends in education, research and innovation in China and how the universities collaborate with the industry and contribute to the wider community. TAR UMT and GZU also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enable both institutions to share common and fundamental objectives of promoting and developing higher education opportunities in Malaysia and China. |
