2025

Between 11 August 2025 to 29 August 2025

Under the Staff Exchange Programme between TAR UMT and NTTU, reciprocal teaching activities were carried out in August 2025 to strengthen academic collaboration between both institutions.

From 11 to 16 August 2025, a staff member from NTTU delivered a series of lectures at TAR UMT, covering the Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), the country’s roadmap toward IFRS adoption, Malaysia’s IFRS implementation experience, and approaches to training lecturers and students.

Later, from 25 to 29 August 2025, a staff member from TAR UMT conducted lessons at NTTU on key international accounting standards, including IAS 16, IAS 40, IAS 36, IAS 2, and IFRS 15. These exchanges provided valuable cross-border learning opportunities for students and further deepened institutional cooperation.

 

2024

From 8 September to 12 September 2024

Under the Staff Exchange programme, staff from NTTU was invited to be the guest lecturer to deliver teaching to students at TAR UMT between 8 September and 12 September 2024.

 

9 September 2024

The Staff Exchange Agreement between TAR UMT and NTTU was signed on 9 September 2024. Both institutions agreed to foster mutual cooperation, promote academic exchanges, and facilitate faculty exchange programs.

 

From 12 May 2024  to 18 May 2024

As part of the staff exchange program, a guest lecturer from TAR UMT was invited to engage with NTTU students at NTTU between 12 May 2024, and 18 May 2024.

 

9 January 2024

On 9 January 2024, TAR UMT visited NTTU to enhance their collaboration, echoing the objectives set during TAR UMT's visit from 13 December 13 to 16 December 2023. The visit focused on reinforcing partnerships in student and staff exchange, research collaboration, and academic programs. This visit underscored the commitment to ongoing initiatives while exploring novel opportunities, emphasizing the dynamic and evolving nature of the academic alliance between TAR UMT and NTTU.

 

2023

From 13 December to 16 December 2023

TAR UMT visited NTTU from 13 December to 16 December 2023 to discuss on student exchange, staff exchange, collaboration on research/ scholarly activities, academic programme collaboration and etc.

 

5 January 2023

TAR UMT visited NTT on 5 January 2023.  A discussion on the future academic collaborations was held between the academic staff from the Faculty of Built Environment, TAR UMT and academic staff from the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Applied Fine Arts, NTT.

Concurrently, the TAR UMT students had get-to-know sessions with the NTTU students and tour of their facilities and programmes.

 

5 January 2023

TAR UMT visited NTT on 5 January 2023.  A discussion on the future academic collaborations was held between the academic staff from the Faculty of Built Environment, TAR UMT and academic staff from the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Applied Fine Arts, NTT.

Concurrently, the TAR UMT students had get-to-know sessions with the NTTU students and tour of their facilities and programmes.

2019

31 July 2019

The International Student Recruitment Agency Agreement between TAR UMT and NTT was signed on 31 July 2019. TAR UMT appointed NTT as its non-exclusive agent in Vietnam to promote its programmes, solicit applications from within Vietnam and provide support and advice to applicants making applications with the aim of achieving enrolments successfully at TAR UMT.

 

Between 22 March 2019 to 8 June 2019

In 2019, two inbound tours to TAR UMT was held, i.e. between 22 March and 18 May 2019, and between 5 June to 8 June 2019.

 

2018

From 19 November 2018 to 22 November 2018

TAR UMT visited NTT between 19 November 2018 to 22 November 2018 and to explore the collaborative arrangement.

 

From 1 October 2018 to 4 October 2018

NTT visited TAR UMT between 1 October 2018 and 4 October 2018 (Academic visit).

 

2016

2 September 2016

The Agreement for Short Course by NTT was signed on 2 September 2016. Outlines relevant to the arrangement for TAR UMT and NTT to implement the short course involving 40 students and chaperons from TAR UMT for 4 days and 3 nights (from 26 September to 29 September 2016) hosted by NTT, Vietnam was discussed.

 

29 July 2016

The International Student Recruitment Agency Agreement between TAR UMT and NTT was signed on 29 July 2016. 1 April 2016

The Memorandum of Understanding between TAR UMT and NTT was signed on 1 April 2016. This MOU was signed to enable TAR UMT and NTT to share common and fundamental objectives of promoting and developing higher education opportunities in Malaysia and Viet Nam.
