On 29 May 2024, a student from FCCI presented research at the 3rd Undergraduate Research Symposium organized by UNTAG Surabaya via Zoom. The presentation, titled 'Connecting Communities: The Role of Communication Across Rural and Urban Settings,' explored the dynamics of communication in bridging rural-urban divides. The research has been identified for potential publication, underscoring its contribution to understanding community interactions in diverse settings.

On 21 February 2023, TAR UMT had collaborated with UNTAG Surabaya on the Collaborative Research Program entitled “Platforms and Cultural Production in Asia”.

This research programme was collaborated between five (5) universities including  Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, University Of Amsterdam, Xavier University – Ateneo De Cagayan, Walailak University, and TAR UMT.

7 December 2022

The Memorandum of Understanding between TAR UMT and UNTAG Surabaya was signed on 7 December 2022. Both institutions were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.

4 students from UNTAG attended International Student Conference organized by TAR UMT between 23 October 2019 and 26 October 2019.

The Memorandum of Understanding between TAR UMT and UNTAG Surabaya was signed on 26 September 2019. The Parties are desirous of entering into this MOU in order to explore common and fundamental objectives and benefits.

UNTAG visited TAR UMT on the 5 August 2019 to explore the collaborative arrangement in terms of dual award for Master of Business Administration from TAR UMT and UNTAG.
