From 24 August to 28 August 2025

PKRU extended an invitation to TAR UMT to attend a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Camp, which was held from 24 to 28 August 2025 in Phuket, Thailand. The invitation was extended to five DENS students from the Bachelor of Arts in English Studies (Honours) and the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) English with Education programmes.

26 May 2025

The Memorandum of Understanding between TAR UMT and PKRU was signed on 26 May 2025.  TAR UMT and PKRU were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.

11 March 2025

On 11 March 2025, TAR UMT hosted Phuket Rajabhat University for the Destination Management Challenge: Creativity, Innovation and Sustainability, a joint event between Phuket Rajabhat University and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology. The competition featured student presentations of proposals related to the tourism industry, designed to inspire participants from both universities to identify and showcase interesting destinations around the world. The event also formed part of the coursework requirements for Year 2 Semester 2 students enrolled in KHHM3314 Conventions & Meeting Management.

24 August 2022

PKRU was invited by TAR UMT to visit KL Main Campus on 24 August 2022. Both institutions have further discussion on the possible collaboration during the meet up.

5 August 2022

TAR UMT visited PKRU on 5 August 2022  to explore potential collaboration on student exchange, staff exchange, research/ scholarly activities, academic programme and etc.
