From 28 October 2024 to 2 November 2024 TAR UMT staff participated in the 2nd ‘Belt and Road’ Forum on Science, Technology, People-to-People Exchanges, and High-Quality Development, organized by USTB from 28 October to 2 November 2024. The forum marked the 11th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and aimed to promote its continued development. 30 July 2024 TAR UMT celebrated the Opening Ceremony of the Malaysia-China (University-Industry Collaboration) Talent Development Programme on 30 July 2024. This tripartite collaboration involved TAR UMT, the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), and Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd. The ceremony honored TAR UMT students from the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor in Accounting and Finance (RAF) programs for receiving the Talent Training Scholarship. 12 June 2024 The Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Education between TAR UMT and USTB was signed on 12 June 2024. TAR UMT and USTB were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another. |

17 October 2023 USTB and Eastern Steel Sdn.Bhd paid a courtesy visit to TAR UMT on 17 October 2023 to update the progress of collaboration and discuss other potential collaborations in future. 2 June 2023 In furtherance of fostering educational and cultural exchanges between China and Malaysia, and deepening cooperation among universities of both nations in the realm of international talent development, USTB, Eastern Steel Sdn. Bhd., and TAR UMT, guided by principles of equality, voluntariness, and friendly consultation, have formalized the following collaborative agreement for joint international talent training on 2 June 2023. 2 June 2023 The Chairman of Board of Governors, member of the Board and Senior Officials of TAR UMT visited USTB on 2 June 2023 to explore potential collaboration in scientific research, joint-training/ joint activities for students, staff exchange and student exchange . During the visitation, both Universities had also gained an insight into future trends in education, research and innovation in China and how the universities collaborate with the industry and contribute to the wider community. |
