From 17 January to 22 January 2026 GUT hosted TAR UMT students for a Student Mobility Programme from 17 January to 22 January 2026. The programme, undertaken by Bachelor of International Business (Honours) (RIN) students, incorporated an overseas study tour aligned with BBDM3123 Intercultural Business Skills, integrating experiential learning with academic assessment.

10 September 2025 The senior management team of TAR UMT visited GUT on 10 September 2025. In conjunction with the visit, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between TAR UMT and GUT to further enhance academic collaboration and partnership. The agreement paves the way for increased student and staff mobility, joint research, and other academic initiatives, fostering closer ties and mutual growth between the two universities.
19 May 2025 On 19 May 2025, senior officials from TAR UMT visited GUT to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions. Building on previous exchanges, the visit focused on assessing the progress of existing initiatives and identifying new opportunities for collaboration in areas such as academic exchange, joint research, and programme development. The visit reflected the mutual commitment of both institutions to fostering international cooperation and enhancing the quality of higher education.

9 September 2024 On 9 September 2024, senior officials from GUT visited TAR UMT. Building on prior discussions from 27 May 2024 and 24 July 2024, this visit aimed to solidify collaborative efforts in student and staff exchanges, joint research, and academic programs. During this visit, TAR UMT and GUT signed a MOU, formalizing their commitment to these initiatives. The MOU represents a significant step forward in the partnership, highlighting the dedication of both institutions to fostering international cooperation and enhancing educational and research opportunities.
24 July 2024 On 24 July 2024, senior officials from TAR UMT visited GUT to advance discussions on collaborative projects initiated in previous meetings. The visit aimed to further detail plans for joint research, academic programs, and exchange opportunities, reinforcing the ongoing partnership between the institutions.
27 May 2024 Officials from GUT visited TAR UMT on 27 May 2024 to discuss on student exchange, staff exchange, collaboration on research/ scholarly activities, academic programme collaboration and etc.
