2025

From 7 June 2025 to 21 June 2025

From 7 to 21 June 2025, a two-week student exchange programme was successfully conducted at CQIPC. The programme comprised a series of guest lectures, cultural exchange visits, and immersive Chongqing cultural experiences for nine students and one accompanying lecturer from TAR UMT.

 

From 16 February to 9 March 2025

As part of the three-year Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between TAR UMT and Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College (CQIPC), China, a three-week student exchange programme was successfully conducted from 16 February to 9 March 2025 at TAR UMT, Kuala Lumpur. The programme comprised a series of guest lectures, project-based learning (PBL) activities, cultural exchange visits, and Malaysian cultural experiences for 10 students and 1 lecturer from CQIPC.

 

2024

From 9 June 2024 to 30 June 2024

As part of a student exchange programme, a group of 15 students from FOBE of TAR UMT embarked on a 22-day exchange journey to CQIPC China from 9 June 2024 to 30 June 2024. This immersive programme aimed to foster cultural understanding and facilitate meaningful exploration of international diversity. Through various cultural exchange activities, students had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of global cultures, broaden their perspectives, and forge lasting connections with peers from around the world.

 

2023

From 18 February 2024 to 10 March 2024

During the Student Exchange Programme, 15 students from CQIPC participated in a three-week program at TAR UMT. Throughout their time at TAR UMT, the students engaged in various activities aimed at deepening their understanding of Malaysian culture and enhancing their skills in digital construction, particularly in Building Information Modelling (BIM). These activities included cultural talks, traditional games sessions featuring games like congkak and gasing, and insightful lessons on BIM. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to explore Malaysia through a city tour of Kuala Lumpur and visits to Raub, Pahang, Genting Highlands, and Putrajaya, experiencing some of the country's most attractive destinations.

 

From 27 October 2023 to 19 November 2023

As part of the student exchange program, 15 FOBE students from TAR UMT undertook a memorable three-week journey at Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College (CQIPC) from October 27 to November 19, 2023. Engaging in a diverse range of activities, including tea and dumpling making sessions and insightful lessons, the students not only deepened their understanding of Chinese culture but also gained valuable insights into the unique aspects of Chongqing. Beyond the classroom, exploratory tours allowed them to discover the city's rich history, vibrant life, and modern developments. This exchange program not only broadened their academic perspectives but also fostered meaningful cross-cultural connections, creating lasting memories and friendships.

 

31 August 2023

TAR UMT has been invited by CQIPC to attend the Forum co-organised by CQIPC during the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) held on 31 August 2023.

 

4 August 2023

The Memorandum of Understanding for Education Cooperation between TAR UMT and CQIPC was signed on 4 August 2023.  TAR UMT and CQIPC were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.
