31 December 2025 A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Cooperation in Education was signed between TAR UMT and GXCME on 31 December 2025. The MoU establishes a formal framework to enhance collaboration in academic exchange, joint research, student mobility, and technical and vocational education, thereby strengthening institutional partnership and international engagement between both parties.

7 December 2025 An outbound academic visit to GXCME was conducted on 7 December 2025 to strengthen academic and industrial collaboration between both institutions. The visit included an expert knowledge-sharing session in Nanning, as well as institutional discussions on potential collaboration in joint research, student mobility, and academic exchange. This engagement enhanced bilateral cooperation, supported faculty internationalisation efforts, and laid the foundation for future collaborative initiatives between TAR UMT and GXCME.
From 28 October to 3 November 2025 From 28 October to 3 November 2025, TAR UMT participated in the 2025 AI-Enabled Advanced Manufacturing International Skills Invitational Tournament organised by GXCME. The international competition focused on AI-driven advanced manufacturing skills within the Industry 4.0 framework, covering areas such as industrial machine vision installation, system debugging, fault diagnosis, and parameter optimisation. TAR UMT was represented by two students, an instructor, and a team leader, providing valuable exposure to international-level skills benchmarking, talent exchange, and collaboration with vocational institutions from China and ASEAN countries.
