13 February 2024 to 25 June 2024

The Study Abroad Programme facilitated an exchange between Sainte-Marie Lyon (SML) and TAR UMT, allowing nine Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management and Development students from SML to undertake TAR UMT's curriculum. Credits earned were transferred to their program in France. Additionally, students could participate in cultural workshops, sightseeing tours in Kuala Lumpur, and other excursions, enriching their experience and fostering international collaboration.

Students from TAR UMT participated in the Summer School Programme 2023 organized by IMI between 24 July 2023 and 6 August 2023. This summer program allowed students to engage in academic enrichment, cultural immersion, and personal growth experiences in an international context.

An Industry talk entitled “Global Hospitality Management Industry” by IMI representatives from Malaysia was held on 13 March 2023 at TAR UMT KL Campus.

5 July 2022

Professor Gavin R R Caldwell, the CEO and Director of Partner Schools of IMI visited TAR UMT on 5 July 2022 to promote international understanding, scholarly and collaboration, cultural interaction and friendship between the two universities.

The Memorandum of Agreement for Dual Award Collaboration between IMI and TAR UMT was signed on 15 March 2019. The Agreement was signed to further developing the existing collaboration between the two Universities, encompassing dual awards, student and staff mobility, joint research and other activities for the mutual benefit of the two Universities.

TAR UMT visited to IMI between 27 April 2019 and 6 May 2019 to discuss on student exchange, staff exchange, collaboration on research/scholarly activities, academic programme collaboration and etc.

TAR UMT was invited by IMI to attend the Swiss Tourism and Education on 16 April 2019 during the Swiss week.
