13 January 2026

TAR UMT hosted students from PSU for a one-day visitation programme on 13 January 2026, which featured interactive activities with TAR UMT students.

 

2025

From 11 December 2025 to 12 December 2025

TAR UMT co-organised the “Tourism and Hospitality International Conference” with PSU and Ciputra University, Surabaya from 11 to 12 December 2025. Traditionally hosted annually by Ciputra University, Surabaya, the conference was held at TAR UMT this year as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international collaboration.

PSU played an active role in the event, sharing expertise and engaging in discussions on emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in tourism and hospitality. The conference brought together academics, researchers, and industry professionals, providing a platform to exchange ideas, explore collaborative research opportunities, and foster stronger global partnerships in higher education.

 

30 April 2025

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PSU Wittayanusorn School and TAR UMT was signed on 30 April 2025 under the supervision of PSU and operated by the PSU Wittayanusorn School Education Foundation. This partnership builds on the earlier MoU between TAR UMT and PSU in 2022, reinforcing ongoing efforts to enhance academic collaboration, exchange, and long-term institutional ties.

 

2024

From 9 December 2024 to 13 December 2024

Under the Staff Exchange programme, staff from the PSU was invited to be the guest lecturer to deliver teaching to students at TAR UMT.

 

16 October 2024

TAR UMT collaborated with Prince of Songkla University to host a Cultural Exchange Program focused on team-building activities at TAR UMT on 16 October 2024. This initiative aims to enhance essential soft skills such as communication, collaboration, decision-making, as well as both creative and critical thinking.

 

20 April 2024

On 20 April 2024, 35 students and 9 lecturers from the Department of Social Science and Hospitality at TAR UMT visited the Institute of Cultural Studies at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, for a campus visit and exploration of Thai culture. The event commenced with a briefing about PSU Pattani by Dr. Nipatimah Hayeehama, Head of Research at Prince of Songkla University. The students toured the PSU Galyani Vadhana Museum, PSU 3D Art Museum, and PSU Historical Museum. They also had the opportunity to participate in a Batik painting workshop.

6 July 2023

22 Chinese-national students with 4 lecturers from the Bachelor of International Business, Faculty of International Studies, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket visited TAR UMT to learn about Malaysian culture.

The Staff Exchange Agreement between TAR UMT and Prince of Songkla University was signed on 19 June 2023.

15 May 2023

Under the Staff Exchange programme, staff from PSU was invited to be the guest lecturer to deliver teaching to students at TAR UMT.

29 April 2023

34 students with 6 lecturers from the Department of Social Science and Hospitalities of TAR UMT visited the Institute of Cultural Studies, Prince of Songkla University to learn about Thai culture.

The event began with a welcome speech by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornpawee Pumkerd, Director of Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies. After that, students attended the lecture on "Thai History, Culture and Traditions" by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornpawee Pumkerd (Director) and Dr. Chanakit Thanasuk (Deputy Director) and lecture on the topic of "Similarities and Differences Between Thai and Malaysian Culture" by Dr. Nipatimah Hajihama, Head of the Research Center for Culture and Social Innovation and Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies. The students learnt Southern Thai traditions, arts, and wisdom through an exhibition in the Southern Textile Museum and the PSU Art Gallery. Finally, students joined Thai Dancing and Thai Local Dessert “Colorful Bua Loy” workshops.

30 November 2022

The Memorandum of Understanding between TAR UMT and Prince of Songkla University was signed on 30 November 2022. Both institutions were agreed to develop, promote and cooperate with one another in various activities such as: sharing of academic knowledge and best practices; staff and student engagements; and fostering partnerships and long term relationships with one another.

 

12 October 2022

The Staff Exchange Agreement between TAR UMT and Prince of Songkla University was signed on 12 October 2022.

 

From 3 August 2022 to 4 August 2022

TAR UMT visited PSU between 3 August 2022 (Hat Yai Campus) and 4 August 2022 (Phuket Campus) to explore potential collaboration on student exchange, staff exchange, research/ scholarly activities, academic programme and etc.

1 October 2021

The Memorandum of Understanding between TAR UMT and Prince of Songkla University was signed on 1 October 2021. The Memorandum of Understanding enables both Universities to share common and fundamental objectives of promoting and developing higher education opportunities in both countries.
