Course Objective
This course is designed to:
- Enhance students’ understanding and skills in science.
- Prepare students to meet the entry requirements for Diploma or Bachelor programmes at
Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology.
- Build a strong foundation for further studies in science.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Solve problems related to general science.
2. Understand and apply basic experimental techniques in science.
3. Demonstrate confidence in handling scientific questions in examinations.
4. Apply scientific knowledge to everyday life and practical situations.
Course Synopsis
- Duration: 42 hours of class contact over one month
- Mode of Learning: Online via Google Classroom, conducted in small tutorial groups using lecture notes and tutorial questions
This course covers the key topics in mathematics clearly and practically, including:
- Learn the composition of matter and methods for measurement and testing.
- Understand chemical reactions and basic principles of atoms and elements.
- Explore forces, motion, light, and measurements in physics.
- Study living organisms, cells, nutrition, and ecosystems in biology.
By the end of the course, students will be able to solve problems, perform basic experiments, and relate scientific principles to real-life contexts.
