Cambridge Linguaskill is a globally recognised on-demand exam that certifies the English language level of candidates. It’s powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and computer-adaptive technology, and offers fast and accurate testing of English language ability from B1 to C2 level on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
The test assesses four language skills:
- Speaking
- Writing
- Reading
- Listening
1. Cambridge Linguaskill results are accepted by Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) and other institutions of higher learning for admission into academic programmes.
2. Results are normally released within 48 hours after the test. Actual release times may vary.
3. The test is conducted in person at TAR UMT to ensure proper identity verification and compliance with secure and supervised examination requirements. The test is conducted at TAR UMT Kuala Lumpur Campus and TAR UMT Penang Campus.
4. Candidates may choose to take all the four language skills in one sitting or take individual skills separately.
5. Candidates who take all four skills in one sitting should expect the test to take approximately 2 hours 30 minute in total. The total time will depend on the number of skills selected. Breaks are not included in the test time.
6. Candidates are allowed to retake specific skill(s) to improve their results. Resits are intended to help candidates :
i) improve weak skill areas ii) Meet admission or programme requirements iii) Avoid unnecessary retesting.
Important Notes:
1. Candidates must be physically present at TAR UMT, either the Kuala Lumpur or Penang campus only, to complete the online test.
2. Once registration is complete, candidates are not permitted to change the date or time of their test session.
3. Examination fees are non-refundable.
