The Master of Science in Construction Project Management aims to produce graduates with the required proficiency and strategic mindset in managing construction projects effectively. This programme enhances the students' capability in solving complex construction project issues professionally through a higher-order thinking curriculum that is industry-alligned.

Career Prospects

  • Graduates can seek employment in the construction and development field and specialisation such as project planning, construction contract management, construction project management and other related areas. Graduates are also well-prepared for further progression intro research, further studies in the related PhD programmes, or joining the academia as teaching staff.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by the Senate; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.

Candidates without a qualification or working experience in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses and meet the minimum CGPA based on the above.

English Language Requirements

Malaysian Students

  • MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or its equivalent; OR
  • Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English

International Students

  • IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 equivalent; OR
  • Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
