Programme Overview:

The Master of Science in Property and Facilities Management is a multidisciplinary programme that equips the students with necessary framework of knowledge and skills in property and facilities management. With the practical and industry-aligned curriculum, it prepares the graduates to implement best property management practice by integrating law, technology and financial skills in the professional field of property and facilities management. In meeting the rapid growth of the property management industry, holders of Master of Science in Property and Facilities Management with working experience can enjoy a better chance to occupy senior management positions.

    Career Prospects

    • Graduates of this programme can be involved in property and facilities management and be employed as Property Management Executive, Facility Maintenance Analyst, Research Consultant, Property/Facility Manager, Academic Staff teaching Property and Facilities Management or other related position in the property and facilities management industry.

    Minimum Entry Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management or other related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by the Senate; OR
    • A Bachelor's degree in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management or other related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.

    Candidates without a qualification or working experience in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management or other related field must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses and meet the minimum CGPA based on the above.

    English Language Requirements

    Malaysian Students

    • MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or its equivalent; OR
    • Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English

    International Students

    • IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 equivalent; OR
    • Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
