Programme Overview:

A Master degree in engineering provides graduates with advanced analytical skills and technology literacy to conduct research through the pursuit of specialized study in either Materials, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Telecommunication and Electrical & Electronics engineering. Graduates develop an objective approach to problem identification and solution with real-world problems while communicating their findings to the scientific community as well as industrial professionals.

Part time (Malaysian students ONLY) - 3 years

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6 MQF) in the area of Engineering/Engineering Technology with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent grade which is approved by Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology or other recognized university as approved by the Senate; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6 MQF) in the area of Engineering/Engineering Technology not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above 2.50 can be accepted, subject to rigorous internal assessment which is approved by the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology Senate; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6 MQF) in the area of Engineering/Engineering Technology with lower than 2.50 with 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of study which is approved by the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology Senate.

    NOTE: Degree holders of Bachelor's of Science and Technology (non-engineering or engineering technology) with CGPA above 2.50 but less than 2.75 may be admitted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment. 

English Language Requirements

Malaysian Students

  • MUET Band 4.0 or IELTS Band 6.0 or CEFR Mid B2 or TOEFL iBT 60 or equivalent; OR
  • Exemption if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English

International Students

  • IELTS Band 6.0 or CEFR Mid B2, TOEFL iBT 60 or equivalent; OR
  • Exemption if the first language is English or medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
