Programme Overview:

Master of Information Technology programme is for those who have the interest to advance their career in research and industry that requires professionals to be equipped with innovative knowledge, research skills, high order thinking skills and needed soft skills in the information technology areas to produce new knowledge or technology that will be the catalyst of the digital economy. Students of this programme have the opportunity to explore and conduct information technology research in the following areas but not limited to information system, threat intelligence, networking, information security which as far as possible to be applied to various real-life industries including Smart Campus applications, Industry 4.0, Agriculture 4.0 and any innovative commercial-value solutions.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree of Computing (MQF, Level 6) or in the area of Science and Technology or related Computing with a minimu CGPA of 3.00; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree of Computing (MQF, Level 6) or in the area of Science and Technology or related Computing, with CGPA below 3.00 but above 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment process; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree of Computing (MQF, Level 6) or in the area of Science and Technology or related to Computing or in the area of Science and Technology or related to Computing, with CGPA less than 2.50, with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a relevant field may be accepted.

     

English Language Requirements

Malaysian Students

  • MUET Band 4 or IELTS Band 5.5 or TOEFL Score 550; OR
  • Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English

International Students

  • IELTS Band 5.0; OR
  • Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
