ACCA Exemption

Diploma in Accounting programme

• Graduates of this programme are exempted from the first 6 ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level papers.

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) programme

• In the First and Second Year of this programme, students will follow the Internally Assessed ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills programme. Upon successful completion of the Second Year of study, students are exempted from all 9 ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level papers.
• In the Third Year (Final Year), students are prepared to sit for the final 4 ACCA Strategic Professional level paper examinations.

Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) programme

• Graduates of this programme are exempted from all 9 ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level papers upon graduation.
• Final year students are allowed to attempt the final 4 ACCA Strategic Professional level papers under special arrangement with ACCA.

• Graduates of this programme are exempted from the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting.

• Opportunity is given to final year students to attempt the CIMA Management Case Study and Strategic level papers under special arrangement with CIMA.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Marketing programme

• TAR UMT is a CIM Graduate Gateway accredited university in Malaysia. Under this arrangement, students are given exemption on Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) basis from 1 out of 3 modules of CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing.
• In the Third Year, students will be prepared to sit for the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing examinations.
• Upon passing the CIM examination and with relevant work experience, graduates are eligible for Associate Membership of CIM.

Bachelor of Finance (Honours) programme

Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) is an Affiliated University under the CFA Institute's University Affiliation Program with its Bachelor of Finance (Honours) programme. The Affiliated University status is testimony that the curriculum of the Bachelor of Finance (Honours) programme is closely tied to the industry practices of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the CFA examinations.

FPAM Exemption

Graduates of the following programmes are exempted from Module 3 Investment Planning and Retirement Planning of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification programme.

Graduates from the above programmes have been granted advanced entry level into AICB Chartered Banker (CB) Qualification Framework. Graduates can enrol and register directly into any of the level 2 CB Specialised Certificated Programmes effective 18 August 2022 with the following conditions:

• Applicable to graduates from June 2022 onwards
• Candidate must obtain a pass in BBDT2123 Marketing of Financial Services
