Since its inception in 1971 as School of Business Studies which has built a strong niche in professional education leading to qualifications like ACCA, CIMA and ICSA, the Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business (FAFB) has steadfastly gone on to build on the legacy to make TAR UMT the choice institution for students aspiring to pursue their professional accountancy qualification. FAFB, the largest faculty in TAR UMT, has a student population of about 14,000 enrolled on its accountancy and business programmes.

With a team of dedicated, qualified and experienced academic staff, FAFB offers a comprehensive range of accountancy, finance and business  programmes that cater to the diverse needs of individuals, industries and professions at Diploma, Bachelor, Masters and Professional levels.
