Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Sciences of TAR University of Management and Technology!

The Faculty of Applied Sciences (FOAS) is evolved from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Computing (FASC) of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) (previously known as Tunku Abdul Rahman University College) and the well-established/reputable School of Arts and Science (SAS) of the renowned Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) which was upgraded to the University College status in May 2013. The School (SAS) was established in February 1972. The Faculty has a track record of producing successful graduates in both academic and industry in a wide and diverse range of applied sciences areas for more than 40 years. To date, the faculty has more than 40 faculty members with more than 37,000 graduates at various levels of studies.

FOAS currently runs programmes at Diploma, Bachelor (Honours) Degree, Masters and PhD's levels. 

Apart from running academic programmes, the faculty is active in research activities and has a close relationship with industry via industry-academia collaborative projects which include providing sample testing using high-end scientific and industrial-standard instrumentation.

The FOAS continues to strive for education excellence by providing high quality education in undergraduate and post-graduate level as well as to excel in research and industry-collaborations.
