‘Book Chat & Coffee’ Event  

Dear Students and Staff,

The Library is organising a ‘Book Chat & Coffee’ event on Thursday, 8 December 2022 from 2.30 p.m. - 4.30 p.m. at the new Café Area, Main Library. This event aims to promote reading engagement by providing an avenue for TAR UMT students and staff to share their favourite books (5 - 8 mins per person) and get inspirations and recommendations for good books to read from others.

Participation is open to the first 15 students and staff who pre-register online by Monday, 5 December 2022 at https://forms.gle/8gmgFZ3DNzVSew6f7. Please register using your TAR UMT Gmail credentials.


Library Information Skills & Reference Management Tool - Mendeley Webinar

Dear Students and Staff,

The Library is organising webinar sessions on Library Information Skills and Reference Management Tool - Mendeley via Google Meet.

The Library Information Skills webinar will get you acquainted with the basics of research and also knowledge in accessing and retrieving TAR UMT Library resources. You can opt for the session on Wednesday, 30 November 2022 (10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.) or Friday, 2 December 2022 (2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.). Graduate Attribute (GA) point will be awarded to all students who maintained attendance throughout the webinar.    

One webinar session to get you acquainted with the basics of Reference Management Tool - Mendeley to manage citation and bibliography sources will be held on Thursday, 1 December 2022 from 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Preprints: A New Way to Publish Your Research Results Webinar 

Dear Students and Staff,

We are pleased to announce that one webinar session on using preprints in scientific publishing and their benefits for the research community will be conducted on Wednesday, 28 September 2022 at 11.00 a.m. The 90 minutes webinar will feature two speakers, Dr. Rui Dai (Wharton Research Data Services) & Mr. Michael Magoulias (Elsevier SSRN).

ACS Publications: The Best Practices in Publishing Webinar
